If you’re going to travel to a cold or damp climate make sure to pack a poncho and a raincoat.  Hoodie apparel, fleece apparel, a sweater or a sweatshirt and a lightweight jacket can also come in very handy.  You’ll find you’ll be warmer if you layer your clothing instead of wearing one bulky bit of apparel.

For example, if you put a flannel shirt and a light jacket over a t-shirt the air in between the layers can keep you warmer than wearing a bulky jacket. And you’ll look better too!
